The practice of orthopaedics has become so complex that physicians find it necessary to specialize. Orthopaedic Specialists, PC has created its centers of excellence to address this fact and is committed to providing the very best care and latest technologies to make sure it remains the premier orthopaedic surgical practice in the Quad City region.

Physician assistants (PA’s) provide healthcare services under the supervision of the doctors at Orthopaedic Specialists. Working as members of the healthcare team, they take medical histories; examine and treat patients; order and interpret laboratory tests, MRI’s and x-rays; make diagnoses and prescribe medications.

NPs are advanced practice nurses who provide high-quality healthcare services similar to those of a doctor. NPs diagnose and treat a wide range of health problems. They have a unique approach and stress both care and cure. Besides clinical care, NPs focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling. They help patients make wise health and lifestyle choices.
